Soooo, hello peeps, been so long! Hahaha :evillaugh:
This time my update is about a seminar I've just recently finished. The seminar is sponsored by www.atamerica.or.id/  in cooperation with Stellar Labs, one of the professional illustration studio in Indonesia. I would say that the studio really put their effort in this seminar because they go as much to tutor the participants who are willing to take an 8 page comic project along with their 5 session of seminar. This seminar spans from October to mid November, in the end of weeks. I myself didn't go to all of their sessions because of this and that but I somehow manage to finish my 8 page comic in time :la: There's around 10 people including me who manage to send their comic in and in the last session they pick three best entry to be given out goodies. I manage to get the third place :woohoo: I got one T shirt, one pack of their printed art and one comic magazine, not a bad payment for all the hard work :P
They said that my entry got chosen because the silent comic I made is good in storytelling but art wise, it could use some improvements (very true lol) All of the idea and concept phase is rushed in 2-3 weeks and then I rushed again to finish paneling and finishing it. I didn't even name the character and the story properly, didn't design the concept's color and there's no cover page :faint: I've hesitated to upload them here because the low quality of finishing stage but... I think I would want to keep it as my personal art history  So without further ado, here's the pages I've made:

I kinda want to redo this comic... but I shall see if I got time for that ^^; I will keep this version for comparison even if I ever remake this.
If any of you remembered, the design of the character may seem familiar... actually I took the head design from a 3D model I made long ago

Thanks for reading and have a good day! :sun:

You did a good job on your project. It looks like you had fun with it. I look at it as a WIP. You have a nice little story there. You have the page layouts, basically at the pencils stage. Now, you can go back in and develop the pages further, add full shading and backgrounds. Do not point out flaws or make fun of your own work when you present it. It influences your audience. ;)
